Yet Venus is in the early degrees of the Lioness… and the Sun is still in decan III — the last ten degrees — of creatrix Cancer’s inward but emergent incubation. The spindly, sideways and cycle-walking Crab whose old stories and new iterations promise fiery debut.
And Mercury is there too. Hermes makes his conjunction with Venus tonight, Saturday the 16th, “just as they become visible again in the sunset sky.” The astrologer Austin Coppock mentioned this in his recent forecast, calling their conjunction a “procreative tryst.”
She lurks promising volume, Venus with the Lion, and all of us amidst along the edges of the stage.
Flitting back and forth across in opening hints of the early acts, flashes before and behind rising curtains.
Look and listen in the coming weeks for bolder movements… the giving and taking, the strength of victories, incendiary flares and shock pitfalls… as Venus in particular moves through her mid and later degrees. ‘The woman with the wild hair.’ A lioness in all of us.
The past few days have seen a peculiar blend of harmony and discord, perhaps especially as the Moon passed over Mars in Scorpio early Wednesday into Thursday. Since even the Libra Moon days prior and its activation of the cardinal bodies and lights, I moved through and heard much topsy turvy drama.
The recent prevalence of stirring waves turned flames in the sky, raises a few forward-leaning questions among many…
… what inner landscapes, artistry and relationships are blooming or coming to fruition?
… what might you need to release in order to dance through and over the Full Moon crest of this lunation?
A release of something harbored more ‘inwardly’ may be required. A vision, a resentment, a desired return to a dying impulse.
Water and fire often speak toward internality, the going in and down of soul, the going in and up of spirit.
The going in and down of feeling, made outward is like e-motion up the cross, the going in and up of intuitive vision, made outward is like action down the cross. Invert it. Play with it.
The Moon joined Saturn in Sagittarius late Friday into this morning of Saturday the 16th… a sort of stifling in Cancer's birth canal, perhaps? Or maybe a ‘necessary’… slow, contained glow amidst the charged unpredictability brewing.
While together the Moon and Saturn often lend a seeming inaccessibility to feeling, they offer hidden wellsprings of melancholia from which to draw inspiration, and bestow in the native a great appreciation for art of such bittersweet waters. While this reality doesn’t seem to pertain as much to the current sky, it is a beautiful detail about Luna and Kronos nonetheless.
What those two may bestow on this Saturn’s day, the 16th, is a steady, luminescent repose to pace the flood of fire, rushing all about these early emblazoned stages.
